More on System Dynamics for Cheapskates

One of the four modeling phases I mentioned in my AEA talk was analysis. Looking at data in creative and useful ways is an important part of analysis. I mentioned Gnuplot and J as two useful tools. Now RootPrompt.org has pointed to a list of open source data visualization tools, including Gnuplot and four others.

If you're dealing with random data, there are also R and ViSta.
