"Global warming" backgrounder

RealClimate recently pointed to what they say is a good history of the development of ideas surrounding global warming published by the Center for History of Physics of the American Institute of Physics. While I normally only post about things I've already read, I haven't had time to read through this yet. I have found RealClimate to be a credible source that I trust, so I'm passing this along now for your benefit and as a reminder to me to read it to better inform my ideas about the environment.
