A wake-up call with positive ideas

In Three Billion New Capitalists: The Great Shift of Wealth and Power to the East, Clyde Prestowitz paints a serious picture that amounts to another attempt (he's not the first, and he's likely not the last) at a wake-up call for those of us in the USA or who may be affected by what the USA does. He also includes a chapter with steps to navigate an upcoming transition successfully.

This isn't about bashing other countries, by the way; it's a call to act more effectively in the world community for the sake of business and people. He's also got suggestions for countries other than the USA. I'm not sure he's got all the right insights nor steps (what one person does?), but his book seems plausible and very much worth discussing. What do you think?
